Take Me Out to the Ball
Game
Take Me Out to the Ball Game
is a Dewan Foundation project with the support of the Chicago
White Sox. The
project has a number of closely related purposes including:
-
to
provide youth who would not ordinarily have the opportunity,
to go to a professional baseball game,
-
to
reward academic achievement,
-
to
encourage participation in extracurricular basic skills
programs,
-
to
support the educational efforts of schools and non-profit
agencies serving youth from low income families.
For
summer 2004, three organizations have participated in the project:
Breakthrough Urban Ministries, Family Matters and Holy Trinity
High School.
