Site Visits, Grant Agreements and
Reporting Procedures
Site Visit
Site visits provide an
opportunity to see beyond proposals, to meet the people involved and
get a feel for the environment in which a proposed project will take
place. The Dewan Foundation will schedule this visit at the convenience of
the proposing organization.
Grant Agreement
All awards will be made
subject to the terms of a grant agreement outlining the responsibilities
of the grantee.
Reporting Guidelines
The Dewan Foundation
wishes to maintain ongoing contact with each organization that receives
a grant and to be
up-to-date on the progress of funded activities. Mindful of the demands on
the time of executives and staff, project reporting will be kept to a
minimum.
Foundation grants
are learning opportunities both for grantees and for grant makers. Your
reports are a means to communicate the knowledge being
acquired. The Dewan Foundation is interested in accomplishments, as any
grant making organization would be, but we are also genuinely interested
and concerned with method and practice. Few projects go exactly as planned, but any project can strengthen an
organization if learning occurs. Your candor will help us understand how
your organization and your delivery of services have been improved through
a grant from the Dewan Foundation.
